Born in USA, 1970

Graduated from  Virginia Tech with a BA in Graphic Design and have been working in the field ever since. I have worked in the newspaper industry in design for nearly twenty years, so I know about very short deadlines and time crunches.

For seven years I have had the pleasure to teach design skills and programs to college students at Germanna Community College. I derive great pleasure imparting what I know to the younger generation. I have kept up with industry standard programs so that I can continue to keep my students on the cutting edge of technology. I am highly experienced in the Adobe Creative Suite with a true love for Illustrator and Photoshop. Even working my other two jobs, I find time to offer freelance design services for many local companies. Many of my clients continue to return to me for fast, well designed products. You name it, I can create it.

Design is about more than just slapping text and a picture into a box. There are so many important things to consider. White space is not something to be covered with a burst (all designers know what I am talking about on this one). Working in an advertising field for so long has given me a greater understanding of what is important to make a business flourish. Henry Ford said it best "A man who stops advertising to save money is the man who stops his clock to save time."
